What's New

Check this space in August for schedules for our various distance learning opportunities. We use a digital satellite through our school TV's for educational programming such as Fairfax Network's "Meet the Author" and Colonial Williamsburg's programs on life in colonial America. We also receive satellite programs in science from NASA and the Smithsonian Institution. Rural Hall School also has ip videoconferencing. We use the wonderful resources in North Carolina, such as the NC Musuem of History, the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, and the NC School of Science and Math. These sources have live, interactive programs for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. They mail materials for our students to use, study, and manipulate during the programs. We also connect by ip with Read Around the Planet and participate in activities through Internet2 and MAGPI.
